Fortnite Players Are Sad That They Can't Destroy Mega City With A Cow Catcher

Chapter 4 Season 2 of Fortnite introduced a neo-Tokyo theme, comprising an entire city covered in massive buildings, neon lights, and grind rails. The futuristic rendition of Tokyo, Mega City, is the flashpoint of the battle royale's latest season, and features all sorts of neat features and secrets. In fact, Epic Games has put so much behind this new season, that it didn't feel the need to introduce any crossover skins. Season 2 has given players a mini-metropolis to play around with, and naturally, all they want to do is destroy it.

Many players were licking their lips at the prospect of demolishing an entire city with the help of a Cow Catcher; unfortunately, the devs anticipated this and vaulted the item. A Cow Catcher is an item that you can attach to any vehicle, allowing it to plough through almost any structure like butter. So, you can just imagine the kaiju-like destruction it could cause in a tightly populated area like Mega City.

Over on the Fortnite Subreddit, players are disappointed that Epic would take away this avenue of wanton destruction by vaulting the Cow Catcher. However, this is an understandable move by the devs; just imagine working so hard on the buildings and features of Mega City, only for some banana-shaped dude to flatten it all. Additionally, players who want to explore and interact with the new area wouldn't be able to because some dude wanted to live out their Godzilla fantasy.

"I’m really going to miss plowing through buildings and watching all the beautiful loot fall from the sky," says DryCrack321, who will now need to work a bit harder for their loot.

"As soon as I saw people talking about razing all of Mega City to the ground I was wondering if cow catchers would be vaulted," says KyleGrave. "My assumption was that they would just make those buildings protected from the cow catcher and have it bounce off though."

However, many players understood the need to vault the item. "It would have been too dangerous in the current sandbox," admits ConfusedMoe. "But I would have still loved it".
