Why did the 76ers trade James Harden to the Clippers?

Image
The James Harden saga has finally come to an end as the Philadelphia 76ers gave Harden his wish and agreed to trade him to the Los Angeles Clippers. Back in June, Harden opted into his $35.6 million player option for this season only to request a trade - preferably to the Clippers - and then call Sixers president Daryl Morey “a liar”. Harden has not played for the Sixers at all this season. Last week, he was stopped by security from boarding the team plane for their two- Game road trip to open the season. He returned to the bench on Sunday, but the league opened an investigation into his absence for the season-opener. He was supposed to have started practice with the team starting today (Tuesday) and play by Thursday. What did the Clippers offer for Harden and when will he debut? The Clippers now receive James Harden, PJ Tucker, Filip Pet rusev, and a future first-round pick and the Sixers receive Marcus Morris, Nic Batum, Robert Covington, Kenyon Martin Jr., the 2028 first-ro...

The Los Angeles Lakers continue to tweak their roster ahead of the trade deadline. The Lakers receive Denver's second -round picks in 2025, 2026 and 2029.  Bryant signed a one-year deal with the Lakers prior to the start of the season, and he was pretty productive during his time on the floor in L.A. In 41 appearances (and 25 starts), Bryant averaged 12.1 points and 6.8 rebounds in 21.4 minutes per performance for the Lakers. He'll provide the Nuggets with a solid center option behind reigning two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic.  The move was likely one Bryant was on board with, as he had grown unhappy with his role in L.A. and asked the...
