Mikel Arteta predicts how many points Arsenal need to win Premier League

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has suggested his Gunners will need to challenge or even equal the all-time Premier League points record to claim their first title in 20 years this season. Arsenal mounted their first title challenge since 2007/08 last year and led the standings for most of the campaign until a late collapse, winning only two of their final seven games, was the opportunity that Manchester City needed to stream through into first place. The Gunners have bounced back this season and are again first after 14 games played, although they are four points worse off than after the same number of games a year ago. Manchester City are two points worse off, while Liverpool have returned to the mix. "Do I have a target? Yes. 96-100 [points], I think you win the league. That is the cushion," Arteta said. What happens if two or more teams finish level on points in Liga MX Apertura 2023?

Matchday 17 of Liga MX’s Apertura 2023 is already underway, with some teams, including Club América and Monterrey, already assured of their place in the end-of-tournament playoffs, while others are scrambling to qualify for the liguilla or the new play-in round. A change in format means the league’s top six teams now qualify directly for the quarter-finals , with those finishing between seventh and 10th entering the play-in round. How does the new Liga MX play-in work? The team that finishes seventh hosts the eighth-place team, with the winner sealing their place in the quarter-finals . The loser of that fixture then hosts the winner of the meeting between the ninth and 10th-place teams for the final last-eight berth.
