Inter Miami sporting director outlines 2024 improvement plans

The 2023 season was a time of great upheaval for Inter Miami, but the club’s sporting director Chris Henderson has told supporters that further change is coming. Henderson spoke to reporters on Monday, reflecting on the team’s campaign and the planned improvements going forwards. Although the arrival of Lionel Messi sparked an incredible mid-season turnaround - culminating in a Leagues Cup triumph - Henderson made clear that more is needed. “We have seen what this team is capable of when we’re on all cylinders and everyone is out there,” he said. Crystal Palace owner rubbishes Dougie Freedman links with Man Utd sporting director role

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has insisted that Dougie Freedman is not in talks with Manchester United over their vacant sporting director post. Man Utd are currently undergoing a huge upheaval at boardroom level, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe's INEOS set to purchase a minority 25% stake in the club. A new CEO is expected to be recruited, with INEOS chief Jean-Claude Blanc under consideration, while a sporting director is also understood to be high on Ratcliffe's wishlist. 90min understands that former Southampton and Tottenham recruitment guru Paul Mitchell is among the names on United's shortlist, while reports elsewhere have named Palace's Freedman as a potential candidate.
