Matt Miazga suspension extended after MLS investigation

Matt Miazga has been hit with a three-game ban and undisclosed fine for misconduct after FC Cincinnati’s playoff victory over New York Red BUlls. The tough penalty means that Miazga will miss the remainder of 2023 for Cincinnati , who are in the Eastern Conference final. The 28-year-old was recently named MLS Defender of the Year and he was a key part of Cincinnati’s historic Supporters Shield-winning season. But now, with his team just two games away from MLS Cup glory, Miazga is unable to feature for Pat Noonan’s team.
